Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using MoneySplit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MoneySplit.

MoneySplit is a personal finance budgeting app that helps you track income, bills, and spending. The app provides:

• Manual tracking of income, bills, and spending entries
• Safe-to-spend calculations based on your income minus bills and spending
• Daily and monthly budget mode options
• Currency conversion for display purposes (all data stored in USD cents)
• Debt-to-income (DTI) calculator (Pro feature)
• Spending trends and data export (Pro features)

MoneySplit is a budgeting tool only. It is not a bank, financial institution, or financial advisory service, and does not hold, transfer, or manage funds on your behalf.

To use MoneySplit, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

MoneySplit offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription:

• Free tier: Basic budgeting features with limits (up to 10 bills, 30-day spending history)
• Pro tier: a monthly or yearly subscription (the current price for your region is shown on the upgrade screen) — unlocks all features including DTI calculator, spending trends, data export, multi-currency support, and unlimited bills and history

Subscription details:

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store refund policy — you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. After cancellation you keep access until the end of your current paid period
• Prices may change with reasonable notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance

All billing and payment processing is handled by Apple. MoneySplit does not directly collect or store payment information.

When using MoneySplit, you agree to:

• Provide accurate financial data — all calculations are based on the information you enter
• Use the app only for personal, non-commercial budgeting purposes
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Not use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
• Not transmit any malicious code or interfere with the app's functionality

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and any financial decisions you make based on the app's calculations.

All content, features, and functionality of MoneySplit — including but not limited to the design, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks — are the exclusive property of MoneySplit and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Your use of MoneySplit grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal budgeting purposes. This license does not include the right to:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content
• Use the app's branding or trademarks without written permission
• Create derivative works based on the app

IMPORTANT: MoneySplit is a budgeting and financial tracking tool only. By using this app, you acknowledge and agree that:

• MoneySplit does NOT provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
• All calculations, including safe-to-spend amounts, DTI ratios, and spending summaries, are estimates based solely on the data you provide
• MoneySplit is not a bank and does not hold, transfer, or manage any funds
• We are not responsible for missed bill payments, overdrafts, or any financial consequences resulting from decisions made based on the app's calculations
• You should consult a qualified financial advisor for personalized financial guidance
• Currency conversion rates are approximate and intended for display purposes only — they should not be relied upon for financial transactions

The app is provided for informational and organizational purposes only. Any reliance you place on the app's output is strictly at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• MoneySplit is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
• We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app
• Our total liability for any claims arising from these terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from inaccurate data entry, calculation errors, or financial decisions made based on the app's output

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

You may stop using MoneySplit at any time by deleting your account through the Account & Security screen in the app. Upon account deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed from our servers.

We may suspend or terminate your access to MoneySplit if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• Your use of the app poses a security risk or may harm other users
• We are required to do so by law

Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Active subscriptions should be canceled separately through your Apple ID settings to avoid continued billing.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

Your continued use of MoneySplit after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the revised terms, you should stop using the app and delete your account.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of MoneySplit shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
